I was very lucky today, I had the chance to walk through Canary Wharf shopping mall. I have to say I believe that some of the high street companies provide different goods for different stores. There is some terrific clothes in Top Shop, including a really nice sheer nylon!!! I think, dress in various shades, there are some nice jackets.
But the best shop was Hobbs, - a fantastic dress in white and a suit in white (same fabric as the dress) to die for. Buy both and you would have the perfect capsual wardrobe, mix it with some of the great shirts, bags and shoes that are out there. Sharpen the business look, freshen up
Monsoon is worth a visit but the prices are way too much at this location Accessorise is part of the same outlet, great for linking things together.
I have decided to try a fashion faux pas, yes thats right I am going to be an old bird wearing young girls styles. I like the shorts that are out there, worn with opaque tights change the colours for the day and night, boots or shoes (same colour) do the boho thing on the top half or 'T' shirts (my fav are the vest) a great summer look. I shall put the look together cheaply, with Cotton medium length cargo shorts.
I am preparing for the Race for Life by walking a mile a day...I hope to loose my belly so that those shorts I am going to buy might look half reasonable. I got some cool kit for the walk, very pink.
I still love the WRAP catalogue but the cost, well I just can't afford to buy all the things I want no make that anything even one item. Do check out the simple lines. www.wraponline.co.uk very stylish and classical give yourself some style ideas. Baggy linen trousers, sweet linen jackets, lovely long skirts in a range of delicious colours. All very New England... Plus the straw hat look that is out there, either trilby style or stetson. I am a stetson person myself.
The pencil skirt is back in fashion, go for it. I love it and it is very sexy.
Style magazine (the Sunday Times) and You magazine (the Sunday Times) fly the flag weekly for good fashion, food and life style items I recommend you read if you get the opportunity.
Three cheers for Leona Lewis, she is very good and she has hit the US market running, top single and album from the off. She is also very pretty I just hope she doesnt get spoilt. I also like Duffy as well, I enjoy her sound. More three cheers, Nigel Kennedy is back and playing excellent.
Oh and while I am at it....Viva Cuba.
I am with Rhys Jones family at this time supporting them and hoping that justice is done.

ARE THEY MAD
I am very angry, the anti china protest would have been so much more effective if the crowd had turned their backs on the flame rather than getting all hot under the collar. It was easy to see the hand of China in the 'coordination' - witness the scene out side 10 Downing Street with a 'torch attendant' pushing people around so the camera gets a good photo call. The world have seen the true nature of the government of China, not un like Mugaba and his 'Free and Fair elections'. What a joke. Chinas idea of peace and friendship - is do as I say or else. We know exactly they images the chinese people will see on state TV.
I support the atheletes whole heartedly. I feel angry that police officers were placed in the unenviable position of trying to keep the thing moving along over a 31 mile route....absolutely ridiculous. Why should our officers be used as a political tool....the protestors by being predictable have shot themselves in the foot. One stupid woman even took a child on her demo he looked terrified. I will pray for all the officers, I hope they get home safely tonight. Imagine trying to cycle or run in uniform for the whole 31 miles and what do you do with a bike when you are pulled to the ground?
How much more worth while was the programme yesterday about the Terracota Army at the British Museum...fascinating. But even that allowed us to see how repressive the government is, by compulsorarily moving people (thousands of them) from their land to carry out excavations. In other cases they have moved people to build a dam. The poor chinese are prisoners of the regime treated as 'drones'.
Tibet is Tibet and should be free.
Turn the TV's off during the Olympics and make a clear point.

ROBINS FLY THE NEST
Our robin chicks fledged leaving the parents disoriented. They spent a day flying around the their old beats in confusion. At one stage they sat side beside each other on the fence.
